Be Bloomington

The Be Bloomington campaign is designed to celebrate Bloomington’s unique community character. Started in 2006, the campaign features quarterly themes with related initiatives and special events. Over the past four years, dozens of events have been held to highlight the many wonderful people, places and programs that make Bloomington a great place to live. 2010’s Be Bloomington calendar has included the annual downtown cleanup, health and wellness fairs and tours of the local police and fire stations. 	Community Chats Community Chats, an open forum, are held each Tuesday at the Village Deli, 409 E Kirkwood Ave., 7:30 - 8:30am, as a program of Ivy Tech Community College-Bloomington's Center for Lifelong Learning. 	First Friday Downtown Gallery Openings Participating galleries are open for extended hours for your viewing pleasure! Stop into Bloomington's galleries and enjoy great food and music, along with eye-catching artwork. First Fridays run from 5-8pm. For more information, click here.
	Kiwanis Club of South Central Indiana Children's Health & Safety FUN! Fair On September 11 from 10am-2pm, the Kiwanis Club of South Central Indiana will hold a Children's Health and Safety Fun! Fair at Sherwood Oaks, 2700 E. Rogers Road.
	Second Saturday of the Month Concert Series Join Wandering Turtle for free live music every second Saturday from 1-3pm. On September 11, Suzette Weakley will join us.
